Water Manifold

4/6/2018

This water manifold in the laundry room at GreenBuild makes turning water on and off to various end uses throughout the home (bath faucet, shower, kitchen faucet, dishwasher, etc.) easy as pie. It also minimizes standing water in pipes, so the homeowner won't have to stand around waiting for hot water on cold mornings. Plumbing manifolds are a new method for residential water distribution, gaining popularity in recent years in the home building industry. It is a more energy efficient and quieter plumbing option than conventional rigid pipe plumbing systems, but is also more affordable and easier to use.

Last week, when no one could find the sewer lateral to connect the GreenBuild plumbing to the main, Envinity called a company from Pittsburgh called Miller Pipetech who uses something called a lateral launch camera. They sent the camera into the sewer to find the lateral. Check out the footage, and a map of the results!
