SCCLT Among Awardees of Centre County Commissioners “Construction and Acquisition/Rehabilitation For Sustainable Housing” (CASH) Program Funding for Long-Term Affordable Housing
Above are some phtos and renderings of the home renovations that will be completed as a result of the CASH program funding.
We had a great time, as always, talkin' about #affordablehousing at #lionbash last night. It was so great to see so many old friends and to make some new ones.
We love to see it! Sale Pending on a land trust home means a brand new first-time homebuyer was just created! We can't wait to welcome this family home in a few weeks.
If you want to become a land trust homeowner we are adding plenty more homes in the coming weeks to our rehab roster, so now is still a great time to give us a call to get started!
New Forever Home alert! We bought our 52nd house today, and are so excited to start renovations to get it ready for a new owner. Enormous thanks to this community-minded seller who called us when she was ready to sell, to ensure that this home will always remain a welcoming and affordable place for future State Collegians to call home.
Thanks also to Nittany Settlement Company and Borough of State College for making this purchase happen.
You can follow our progress on this home and several others by subscribing to our newsletter and following us here!
40% of homes built in the 1980's were "starter" homes. Today it's just 7%; too few to adequately house the largest generation to age into homeownership, Millennials. But why are so few homes, & even fewer affordable ones, being built? Watch this: https://youtu.be/0Flsg_mzG-M
We are so, so happy that our partners-in-housing Out of the Cold: Centre County will finally have a permanent home for their low-barrier shelter. This is a great stride for our region towards fulfilling a promise to provide housing for all.
Please extend a big SCCLT welcome to our newest homeowners and our 74th land trust household. WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!
Thank you, as always to the homeowners, and our partners in bringing them across the threshold of their new home, Borough of State College Jersey Shore State Bank and Nittany Settlement Company
We have several more houses undergoing rehab right now AND are shopping for our next couple homes to purchase SO if you might be interested in a land trust home this is STILL a great time to apply. Call or email us today!
