SCCLT began a prtnership with the Penn State Law in August to place a PSU student as a non-voting member on our Board of Directors. Jeremiah Parlock is a 2nd year J.D. and part of the Leading Lawyers program here at Penn State. You can learn more about Jeremiah in his own words, below. ![]() My name is Jeremiah Parlock, and I was born and raised in Huntington, WV. I graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minors in business management, constitutional democracy, and psychology. I am currently enrolled as a second-year Juris Doctor student at Penn State Law. So far, I have been fortunate to acquire practical legal experience through interning for both a private firm and for the federal judiciary. During the summer of 2020, I interned for a small labor and employment firm in Charleston, WV, Miller & Amos, and during the summer of 2021, I interned with Magistrate Judge William Arbuckle III for the U.S. Middle District of Pennsylvania in Williamsport, PA. I keep myself busy at Penn State Law where I am a member of the ABA National Appellate Moot Court team, serve as the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society President, Military Law Caucus Secretary, Corporate Law Society Events Chair, and as a Student Bar Association Representative. Immediately following law school, I hope to pursue a path in the JAG corps for one of the military branches (currently undecided as to which branch). I am also interested in corporate litigation and eventually working for a state or federal government as a prosecutor. As for my personal life, I am an avid ultimate frisbee and disc golf player in my free time. Law school does not afford me much free time, but I play when I can! I am one of ten children, and ultimate frisbee is our family sport that we play annually because it is enjoyable for players of all different skill levels. I am also an Eagle Scout, so I cultivated a passion for outdoor adventuring, such as backpacking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and skiing, among other things. It would be hard for me not to mention that I am a fan of all things Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers.
