Making a Difference:
SCCLT Homes Stay Affordable Forever
SCCLT uses a shared equity model to keep homes affordable forever. Homeowners own their house, while SCCLT retains ownership of the land through a 99-year renewable ground lease. When a home is sold, the resale price is limited, ensuring it stays affordable for the next buyer. This model protects long-term affordability and allows each home to serve multiple generations of income-qualified families.

Ensuring diverse and inclusive neighborhoods in State College is an essential component of our work. State College Community Land Trust homeowners are people who want to live in the community they serve and work. Homeowners include essential workers, like teachers, bus drivers, and spiritual leaders, for examples, who contribute to our vibrant community every day.
